The 30-Day Thai Listening Challenge is a dated online cohort by Kru Nariss, native Thai teacher in Koh Samui. Each morning at 07:00 Bangkok time a story unlocks: one video in three speeds, a three-layer script, a three-question quiz and twenty words for your flashcards. After day 30, twenty bonus stories open, no clock. Cohort 1 starts 2 November 2026.
One story a day, three speeds
Nariss tells the story at natural speed first, then slower with the Thai and phonetics on screen, then slowest with the English. Thirty stories from the market to the motorbike taxi, easiest first.
A three-layer script
Thai script, phonetics and English, shown one layer at a time so you check what you heard instead of reading along.
Three questions and twenty words
A quick quiz to validate the day, then the twenty new words go to your flashcards with her audio. Six hundred words by day 30, a thousand once you finish the bonus stories.
A cohort space with Nariss
Everyone starts the same Monday. One discussion thread per story, where Nariss answers during the week. After day 30, twenty bonus stories open, same format, no clock.

She is also an exceptional listener, only interrupting, as needed, to correct without disruption my rhythm. I'm allowed to make mistakes and then asked to restate fully, several times if needed. Nariss pushes me to mostly converse in Thai, so I increase my vocab along the way.
